As some of you know, I will be running my 5th marathon this month in Philadelphia, representing Team Big Hearts 2 Little Hearts. Team BH2LH is dedicated to raising funds for research and programs to support families of babies born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Please help me raise money for this life-saving program and research.
This November, I will be running my 5th marathon and raising funds for Team Big Hearts 2 Little Hearts. Team BH2LH is dedicated to raising funds for research and programs to the support families of babies born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). If you’ve ever known a family affected by CHD, then you may already know how heart-wrenching it is for the entire family, what an emotional roller coaster, and the importance of keeping faith and hope through the most incredible odds.
CHD is the #1 birth defect-related killer. There is no cure for any of the 40 types of defects, and little is known about what causes most of them.
CHD research and programs are grossly underfunded, in comparison to other pediatric conditions. With the available research programs, including several that are funded by Big Hearts to Little Hearts, there is more hope worldwide for children and young adults with CHD than ever before. I look forward to running the Philadelphia Marathon and knowing that I have contributed something to help make a difference in the lives of families impacted by CHD.
