Not Your Average Joe

Our mission is to raise awareness for children with Congential Heart Defects (CHD). Our motivation is our 5 and 1/2 year old son, Joey! Since his specific diagnosis of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), at 23 weeks in utero, the last 6+ years have been an eye-opening journey layered with fear of the unknown, a significnat learning curve, ups, downs, challenges, and most importantly incredible achievements.

Joey has endured three open heart surgeries, several cardiac catheterizations and many medical interventions that have lead him to where he is today!

For these scientific cardiac advancements, we are forver grateful.  However, the continuous research, discovery and development are paramount to allowing babies and children with CHD to survive and thrive. Just like our sweet, funny, smart, capable, Joey!

In order to continue to support the ever evolving landscape of pediatric cardiology efforts and advancements – the financial support to further CHD research fields are an absolute necessity!
