- Please join “TEAM LOGAN” for our 9th year walking to raise money for children with heart disease. Team Logan is walking in Loving Memory of Susan. Susan was an amazing young girl that also had Complex Congenital Heart Disease. Susan was Logan’s cousin, she faught a very long battle. She was a very happy little girl that loved the color PINK, we honor her each year by wearing something PINK. Our son Logan has Complex Congential Heart Disease (DORV), we found out when I was 21 weeks pregnant. As a parent to hear that your childs heart didn’t develope correct was the most difficult thing to take in. With a ton of research we felt that Logan was in the best place he could be C.H.O.P. Today looking back I know we made the best choice for Logan. We had the best team ever all of his care is done at C.H.O.P, we will be forever greatful to them for saving our boy! Logan had his first open heart surgery at the age of 3 months and had his second open heart surgery April 19th of 2012. Logan is now 9 1/2 years old and he’s doing great, he does everything a normal kid does he just gets tired quicker then the average kid. The more money we raise for the research the better chance these children have at a normal life. Logan is an amazing little boy that has a natural love for all sports. Logan loves to play baseball, basketball and football. This is something I never thought was possible. Thanks to C.H.O.P. and the amazing doctors my little guy is enjoying LIFE as a 4th grader!!!
